Hello! Thank you for stopping by and giving us a chance to introduce ourselves to you. We are a group of singles in the Jersey Shore area that comes together twice a month for music, teaching, discussion and fellowship. ShoreSingles is sponsored by Grace Tabernacle Bible Church (www.thegracetabernacle.org), a great Bible church along the central Jersey shore. We meet on every other Friday night at 7 pm. We are open to all people regardless of their race, national origin—even religion (though you’ll definitely hear about Christ here!) So no matter who you are, if you’re single and can make it out, join us!
As far as specific details about us, generally we are singles in our 30’s, 40’s and 50’s who reside in the Jersey Shore (Central New Jersey) area, though we welcome all ages. We have a strong desire to become mature disciples of Jesus Christ and to equip one another so that we might serve God's people. We should also mention that we define a single adult as one who is legally single and not currently in the process of divorce or separation.
Our hope is that ShoreSingles builds you up in Christ, that you increasingly mature in Christ and are strengthened in your faith. Our goal is to increasingly learn to die to self and live for the Lord and that you get more plugged into the singles in this area. Our teaching material ranges from very practical matters such as relationship development, to biblical studies such as examining the book of James, to soul-nourishing studies on what Christianity is all about, to spirit-lifting exhortations to pursue Christ above all else. Throughout the year we have quarterly events so that we can get together for more fellowship. Likewise, we are hoping to offer ministries in which can all get involved—ministries like helping out in our church’s Angel Food ministry, serving a local homeless shelter, or even going on a short-term missions trip together.
